Welcome to the online companion for An Introduction to Sociolinguistics (sixth edition). The resources provided here are designed either for the student seeking to support their own self-study or for teachers of sociolinguistics to use in preparing their classes.

You will find this resource is split into five main sections:

  • YouTube: Our YouTube channel, which may change over time, is organised by chapter for ease of reference to the book. It contains introduction videos for each chapter, as well as videos relevant to the chapter being studied.
