This chapter considers the details of megavoltage electron beams, building on previous sections that describe the production of megavoltage electron beams in a linac (Section 8.2) and the collimation system used in linacs for treatment in electron mode (Section 9.1.2). This chapter presents more information on the properties of MV electron beams and their use in patients.
