ICOLD (International Commission on Large Dams) is the leading international professional and academic organization in the field of hydraulic engineering. Its mission is to develop the art and science of dam engineering, and to promote the sustainable development and management of the world’s water and hydropower resources. ICOLD has 100 member countries, and about 10000 individual members.
ICOLD Bulletins (150-200 pages) are written by a small group of academics and engineers. Each ICOLD Bulletin contains the state-of-the-art on a single topic.
ICOLD Symposium Proceedings (700-900 pages) include contributions presented at the yearly ICOLD Symposium, while ICOLD Congress Proceedings (4000-7000 pages) include the academic contributions on three or four technical issues.
