Most universities will provide online 'learning statistics' packages. These are highly recommended. One of the best resources in the UK is intute (formerly SOSIG) – http://www.intute.ac.uk/ – a portal open to all where you will be able to explore some of the best academic web sites across a range of disciplines, including learning about statistics. It includes a reference to the enormously interesting and informative StatSoft's Electronic Statistical Textbook.
