About the author

Jeremy Munday is Professor of Translation Studies at the University of Leeds, UK.  His Introducing Translation Studies (first edition 2001) is used across the world in translation and translation studies programmes. He is also author of Translation: An Advanced Resource Book (with Basil Hatim, Routledge 2004), Style and Ideology in Translation (Routledge, 2008) and Evaluation in Translation (Routledge 2012). He is also editor of Translation as Intervention (Continuum 2007), Translation and Ideology (with Sonia Cunico, The Translator 2007), the Routledge Companion to Translation Studies (Routledge 2009) and Discourse Analysis in Translation Studies (with Zhang Meifang, Target 2015).
